Do Your Actions Match Your Priorities?

It's something to think about, yes? Last weekend I attended Beachbody's Leadership Retreat for their top coaches and I had a lot of little epiphanies. This was one of them. Of course I think it's essential that we all determine what our priorities are in order to live healthy and fulfilling lives. Priorities for health, family, work, giving back to our community to name a few. If we don't know what is most important to us, how do we know what to focus on?? But I don't think that's enough.

I think determining what is most important to us is only the beginning. I urge all of you, dearest readers, to take it to the next level and take a good hard look at whether or not your ACTIONS are in line with your priorities. Sadly oftentimes they are not and it can lead to feeling unfulfilled and frustrated. Who wants to feel unfulfilled and frustrated???

So here is my homework for you. Step 1~ Determine your priorities. Maybe it's your kids, your health, your work, your own business or giving back through charity. Whatever it is make sure it's important to YOU. Step 2~ Take a nice, long, HONEST look at whether or not your actions match your priorities. For example, if one of your priorities is to get your weight into a healthy range (or even just to shed those last pesky 5 lbs!) are your actions reflecting that? Are you eating cleanly and getting plenty of exercise and sleep? Maybe you're dead set in starting your own business, a business that has been a passion of yours for as long as you can remember. Are you truly making it a priority? Are you focusing all of you extra time on it or do you find yourself dropping down in front of the TV night after night as your passion quietly fades into another item on your wish list? You get the picture.

So are you up for the challenge? One of the many things I've learned over the last few years is that is possible to achieve pretty much ANYTHING we want if we are willing to invest in our dreams and ourselves. The key to that is us taking 100% responsibility and taking action. This means keeping ourselves in check when we tend to stray (do you REALLY need to be looking at your cousin's high school boyfriend's pictures on facebook???) This can be scary and even annoying sometimes but I promise you, SO worth it.

Soooo, what do YOU want? Go get it!! I know you can :-)

To Your Awesomeness!
